The original Trucker Type 2 Jacket hit the scene in the 1950s, designed for American truck drivers and workers who spent long days on the road, factory, or job site. What began as a pursuit of function ended up producing one of the most iconic styles of the last 80 years. With a shorter cut than contemporary denim jackets - the Trucker Type 2 allowed wearers to sit comfortably while spending long weeks on the road. Its reinforced stress points and large pockets made for easy access to essentials when required without compromising its classic silhouette. Its pattern, proportions, practicality and durability made it a valued tool that aged like a fine wine and is still revered as one of the classic icons of 1950s and 1960s Americana.
