Description

Born out of the necessity for durable footwear for rugged terrains and challenging tasks, this plain toe boot is one of the oldest designs to ever exist, being a favorite among timber cruisers and outdoorsmen. It is one of the most classic designs crafted to endure the toughest conditions, and to stand the test of time. 

Made using stitch-down construction, the Trooper boot ensures exceptional durability and comfort. Made from 100% full-grain buffalo leather, the Trooper features a sturdy 8-inch shaft, offering unmatched support and protection.

Key features include a logger heel for stability, a veg-tan midsole for enhanced durability, and a gusseted tongue for water and dust protection. The detachable kilti adds versatility to the design, and every pair is handstitched and hand-lasted, taking over 20 hours to craft—embodying true heritage craftsmanship.

Material:

  • Leather: 5 0z (2mm) thick oil tanned full grain buffalo leather upper.
  • Lining: 3 0z (1.4mm) thick leather lining.
  • Insole: 10 Oz (approx. 4mm) thick full vegetable tanned insole.
  • Midsole (only in stitch-down): 10 Oz (approx. 4mm) thick full vegetable tanned midsole.
  • 7 Oz (3mm) thick full vegetable tanned handmade leather welt (if choosing Goodyear Welt)
  • Steel Shank for durability and strength.
  • 100% natural Cork footbed for extra comfort.
  • Outsole: Ridgeway outsole in 100% solid rubber for extra traction (if choosing the standard option)

Sock liner:

  • Foam Topped with Genuine Leather: A 2 mm thick cushioned EVA is topped with 1mm thick genuine leather lining
  • Vegetable Tanned Leather: A straight-cut 3-4 mm thick vegetable-tanned leather insert. No cushion, heavy-duty. 
  • Laces: Waxed Nylon dual-tone round laces.

Really great first experience with stitchdown

Hi guys - these are my first pair of stitchdown boots. Never thought I'd be ordering them from half-way around the world. But, I'm really impressed with the overall boot. Love this vintage brown water buffalo - has an almost kudu like character - amazing! Keep up the good work and look forward to more stitchdown releases! Thanks again!
